The customer service crew was fantastic, keeping me in the loop about a minor delay in shipping. The shoes showed up in under a week, and I'm really happy with them!

"Fantastic shoes, inspiring company, and top-notch customer support!"
I've been a huge fan of Hylo since they kicked off back in the summer of 2020. My first purchase was the V1 of the Hylo Light's in January 2021. I clocked in 150km of running and who knows how many more kilometers just walking around over the next 18 months. They really took a beating but were a joy to wear.
After that, I sent them back to Hylo for recycling, and they gave me credit for a new pair! What a fantastic initiative to keep shoes out of landfills.
The t-shirts are also top-notch, just like the customer service. Jake from Hylo replies the same day, and they've been super helpful while I’ve been bugging them about a couple of exchanges because of my weirdly shaped feet. The return process is smooth, and shipping is quick as lightning.
The message this company is promoting is one everyone should support. What you run in truly matters. I’m eagerly waiting for my two pairs of Hylo Run 3's to show up in bright Solar and Black/Solar Green.
I’m pumped about what’s next for Hylo; the running world needs to wake up!

"Awesome support from the team!"
Due to the Royal Mail strikes leading up to Christmas, my shoes went missing, and it wasn’t Hylo’s fault at all.
When I reached out to the Hylo crew, they were quick to respond, super helpful, and really nice! They shipped me a replacement using the Tracked 48 service, and it showed up right on time as promised.
I was really impressed with the service from beginning to end - huge thanks to Jake for all the assistance 👏🏻

"Poor Quality Trainers"
These trainers are of really low quality. I hardly ever wear trainers, and the hylo ones I purchased fell apart in under two months. They’re ripping in several areas, and I haven’t received any response from customer support. I wouldn’t suggest buying these trainers at all. Terrible quality and even worse service.

"Great customer support, but the durability could use some work"
UPDATE: Hylo was really generous and offered to refund both pairs after the problems I faced. I’m hoping to back their brand again down the line.
Since August 2021, I’ve purchased two pairs of Hylo shoes, and neither held up for more than a few months before they started to fall apart. When I got the second pair, I saw it was a new version, so I was optimistic they’d last longer. But, just like the first, within 3 months, the material began to disintegrate. Given the price I paid, I’m super disappointed because I wanted to support a sustainable brand. Honestly, my Adidas trainers have outlasted both of my Hylo pairs by a long shot.

"Zero traction!"
I genuinely dig the look and how they fit. However, they feel pretty rigid and don’t seem to break in well. My biggest issue, though, is that when they get wet, there's just no traction at all. I ended up slipping on a rock, tore my jeans at the knee, and it hurt! Thankfully, it wasn’t anything worse.

"Better Product"
I got my first set of corn runners, and they were awesome for strolling around, but they began to wear out on the inside heel after a couple of months. I reached out to customer support, and they swapped my initial order in just a week. I'm really pleased to back a sustainable brand that has fantastic customer service!

"Hylo Exceeds Expectations"
I left a not-so-great review for Hylo Athletics on September 11th due to a letdown with both the product and their customer service. Just a day after my review went up, I heard back from Jake Portner, the Growth Executive at Hylo. He expressed his apologies for my experience and offered solutions to the issues I mentioned. Fast forward to yesterday afternoon (September 14th), and I received two pairs of Hylo Corn Runners to replace the one and a half pairs that didn’t hold up. It’s clear that Hylo takes customer feedback seriously, and Jake is a prime example of how businesses ought to handle customer complaints. I really hope the new material used in the heel 'counter' is a permanent fix because the new shoes are way more flexible and a breeze to put on and take off. Big thanks to Jake and to a company that truly believes in doing right by its customers.

"Heels deteriorate fast"
I picked up a pair of shoes and have just used them for strolling around the city (not for running or hiking) in dry conditions. At first, they felt really comfy, but after just a couple of weeks, the insides of the heels on both shoes began to wear down, exposing a rough edge that makes them pretty uncomfortable. I reached out to customer service multiple times, but I haven't heard back.

"Anyone got tips on returning items?"
Does anyone have a clue about how to return or exchange stuff? I've reached out to Hylo and even tried to submit my order #[but it says order not found]. There was no packing slip or receipt included in the package. I'm really let down and honestly freaking out, wondering if I've been scammed!

"Disappointing Durability After a Few Months"
I was really looking forward to trying out Hylo. The vibe and look of the trainers caught my eye. I don’t run, but with my flat feet, I’m always on the hunt for shoes that are both comfy and stylish for walking around.
I got my first pair of Hylos on May 27, 2021. Right when they showed up, I was thrilled with how they looked—better than I had imagined. So, I went ahead and ordered two more pairs! It’s tough to find modern, comfy shoes that fit my size 12 flat feet.
What I didn’t expect was that the first pair would start to tear in several spots after just about 3 months. Just from walking around!
Less than a year later, I had to toss the first pair (the black ones). I thought maybe it was just a one-off issue. So, I switched to using the khaki Hylos for my walks (and, naturally, I stopped buying more Hylo). Within a few weeks, that pair ripped as well. I live in Central London, so I’m not exactly putting these shoes through extreme conditions. Today, I’m saying goodbye to the khakis too, just over a year after purchasing them (but they had multiple tears long before that).
I picked up some ASICS yesterday after doing a bit of research online… they arrived today, and the quality difference is so clear… and they’re priced similarly to Hylo! I can’t keep shelling out over £100 for trainers that fall apart in just 3 months. That’s not sustainable.
I still have one last pair of Hylos left (the sand color). They look fantastic, but I know that even light use will likely lead to more rips. I’ve come to terms with only wearing them on date nights, when I can take an Uber to and from the restaurant. Here’s hoping they don’t fall apart just from touching the ground.
